Tubing Anchor Catcher-Drag Spring
Tubing Anchor Catcher - Drag Spring
The TAC-DS Tubing Anchor Catcher is a retrievable, positive-action anchoring tool designed to hold the tubing string in tension or compression, preventing tubing buckling during pump strokes. By stabilizing the tubing, it reduces rod and tubing wear and improves pumping efficiency. In the event of a tubing split, the tool also functions as a catcher to secure the tubing.
It is equipped with specially treated stainless steel drag springs to enhance reliability in corrosive environments. The TAC-DS also features an upward pull–activated shear release mechanism, providing a contingency release option if the tool cannot be disengaged using the standard right-hand rotation method.
