Tie Back Seal Nipple
Tie Back Seal Nipple
Description & Application:
Tieback liners provide a new casing string to reinforce intermediate casing damaged by drilling or corrosion, protect a weakened casing string from shut-in or excessive production pressure, or isolate a leaking liner top. A typical tieback liner system consists of a Tieback Seal Nipple (TBN), Orifice Float Collar (OFC), and the existing liner Polished Bore Receptacle (PBR). The TBN assembly includes a locator, seal mandrel, seals or seal units, and a half-mule shoe bottom. It is run as part of the tieback string and landed into the existing PBR.
