The Tension Set Service Packer is a versatile tool that is set by a one-third turn at the packer while applying tension and is released by compression. Once set, the packer holds pressure differentials from both above and below.
Its rugged design allows for multiple set, unset, and reset cycles in a single trip. The packer is suitable for a wide range of operations, including squeeze cementing, stimulation, and straddle operations when used in combination with a retrievable bridge plug.
The full-bore design eliminates flow restrictions and provides access for thru-tubing tools. An emergency release system is incorporated, featuring left-hand threads that are activated by right-hand rotation, allowing the cone to move and the slips to fully retract.
