Sliding Sleeve-L Type
Sliding Sleeve-L Type
The L-Type Sliding Sleeve is a downhole flow-control device installed in the production string to establish communication between the tubing and the casing annulus. The sleeve is opened by shifting the internal sleeve upward and closed by shifting it downward using standard wireline operations.
The L-Type Sliding Sleeve incorporates an integral nipple profile and packing bores located above and below the communication ports. The ports can be opened or closed without leaving any restriction or obstruction in the tubing after the shifting operation is completed.
All premium thread connections are available upon request. Alternative nipple profiles not listed in standard charts may also be supplied on a special-order basis.
The D-2 Shifting Tool is used to open (jarring up) or close (jarring down) the L type Sliding Sleeve.
