Shear Safety Joint
Shear Safety Joint
The rotational shear-out safety joint provides a reliable method for positively releasing the tubing string in completions where retrieval may be challenging. It is typically installed between packers in single, dual, or triple completions and is also suitable for applications where rotational release is undesirable.
This safety joint can be easily adjusted in the field to achieve specific straight-pull shear release values. It can also be configured to account for hydraulic forces present during string landing or those introduced during well treatments.
